Traffic Regulation in Bulgaria

Traffic rules on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as road signals, are in compliance with European Standarts. Travelling around the country drivers should not exceed the following limitations in km. per hour:

Motor bikes	50	80	100

Tracks, Busses	50	80	100
With a trailer	50	70	100

Drivers who exceed the specified speed limitations, are fined in the cases, when they have not threatened the safety of other participants in the traffic.
Participants in a road accident driving a car with a foregn registration are obliged to remain on the site and wait for the traffic police to come.

Drivers are banned from driving after consuming alcohol drinks (over 0.5/1000 in the blood) and/or when they are under the influence of other intoxicating substances.
